Iskaz - Warfare ft. Coyote (Eyesburn) OFFICIAL ARTWORK

Artwork for band Iskaz. This is for their single "Warfare". It is out now, and you can also check out the video for it here.

Warfare
Warfare single is first from their upcoming album "Tanatos". It is a collaboration song with front-man/singer Coyote from band Eyesburn. Song is about systematic degradation of people's minds and occupation of thoughts with yellow press, propaganda, rumors, scandals and with overused social networks that are making army of "zombies" that will not see real world problems. Only way to stop that is distribution of healthy consciousness, humanity and principals that are now forgotten. Open your mind and wake up.

Peace!

My latest creation.

I must say that I am extremely happy about this work. People from that band are AWESOME. And their music is epic.

I've done several illustrations for them. One I already published here for you to see. Check it out.

Peace.

Swarm of black crows

Here is my latest illustration, that I've done inspired by a song "Crnih vrana roj" (Swarm of black crows) from Serbian punk band Six Pack. Illustration is actually destined for the book that Milan Radojević, lead guitarist, vocalist and songwriter is publishing soon.

Crnih vrana roj

Book will assemble most of his poems and lyrics, and thus he needed some artwork and illustrations to represent those words in visual form. Illustration had to be done in grey-scale for printing purposes. I am introducing this artwork to the public here for the first time  and I hope to see it soon in that book.
Peace to you all.

Marčelo - Tri Prsta

Here is something fresh. I've just finished this image. It is as usual inspired by music... in this case song "Tri prsta" (Three fingers) from a Serbian artist called Marčelo. I've already done couple of illustrations inspired by his music... and I think I will continue to do so. :)

Song is actually a story about a man who was victim of war, told from his father's perspective. It is dark, mysterious and sorrowful tale of tragedy. In this image I tried to represent one special line from song that says:

"A najviše me boli, najviše, ovog mi krsta,
što mu je granata raznela, vidiš, tri prsta.
Da, baš TA tri prsta!"

which means: "I swear, the thing that hurts me most is that grenade blew away his three finger. Yes THOSE three fingers."
Three fingers that are mentioned here are actual symbol of Serbian people. You can read about three-finger salute here.

Image is published here for the first time. I go now to add it to deviantART. Enjoy and comment!
Peace!

Iskaz

I've decided to post some illustrations that I've done for a band called Iskaz. They are from Pančevo, Serbia. They are crossover band that combines musical genres of metal, hiphop, funk into their own style. I've been their fan for a couple of years. And I've done couple of illustrations for them. This is first I'm gonna post. It's the artwork for their facebook page cover photo.

I've experimented with some vector shades just to get their anatomy right. In the background I used simple gradient from red to blue. And that's pretty much it. It was done using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

They were pretty satisfied with the image and accepted it as cover photo for facebook page. Image was firstly published here on facebook.

More illustrations to come. Peace!

Down below

So I decided to skip this week's entry for Odyssey II project. I have some other stuff to do, some other drawings. But here is something from a couple of months ago .... I did illustration inspired by a song named "Dole" (Down) from a Serbian hip-hop artist Marčelo. You might remember him from my previous post, where I did his portrait in a comic-book style. You can see that post here

Dole

Song follows the story about a guy that resides in mental institution. It's about his struggle with medicament, doctors and staff. Of course it's all a metphour for fight against mediocrity.

I firstly published this illustration on my deviantART account here.

Hope you enjoy.
Peace.

Odyssey II - Chapter 3

The story continues. It introduced to us some new characters, strange characters. This time I tried different approach for the artwork. I went for more classic image than my usual comic-cartoon style. All done in Photoshop for about 3-4 hours.

The Eye of Lysanna

You can read the Chapter 3 here to find out more about the story and what I tried to represent with this artwork.  I will quote one sentence that drew my attention:

"Her weakened body could not stand an assault from the sun's rays, nor could her eyes which were large and accustomed to the dark the way all deep sea creatures were."

I firstly published my illustration at deviantART website on this link. Once again my artwork wasn't selected for the book or for the runner ups, but I will try again.

Peace.

Odyssey II project - Chapter 2

So here we continue with Odyssey II project with Clive Barker. In previous post I posted my artwork for first chapter. Now here is my newest artwork for Chapter 2. I had very little time to do it. About 1 hour from initial idea to completion. If only I had another day to work on it I might added more details, but never-mind.

Introducing Maya
Once again my artwork wasn't selected for the book or for the runner ups, but that's not gonna stop me from trying again. You can see my artwork as was firstly published on deviantART here. You can read Chapter 2 that my artwork reflects here.

Peace.
